Over 160 members from SEIU Local 284 and SEIU Healthcare packed the seats of the Excel Center in purple. Members and their families cheered on the Minnesota Wild as they scored goal after goal over the Arizona Coyotes, who ultimately won the match!

Before the game, our members enjoyed a pregame where they enjoyed refreshments, networked, and participated in a raffle.

One of the prizes this year was a ride on the Zamboni machine! In the picture above, four SEIU members gather before they hop onto the Zamboni. For them, this was incredibly exciting and even a dream come true for one member. They waved to the crowds while wearing their purple, and SEIU members were happy to cheer back to their coworkers.

We are thankful to the MN WILD staff that were able to help host an event like this for our members.

Thank you to all the members who came out and enjoyed the game. We are looking forward to hosting more events like this where SEIU folk can get out and enjoy time together outside of the workplace. Events like this are good to remind us that we aren’t just single bargaining units, but a strong union working to build a better Minnesota.
